Parameters for UX designers

1. Should have 2 to 8 years of experience researching problem statements and designing solutions that meet the desired
UX goals and stakeholder requirements.
2. Should be able to rapidly prototype ideas; pen and paper will do for mockups. Should be familiar with
prototyping tools or front end code for higher fidelity prototyping.
3. Good communication skills. Must be able to communicate idea to all stakeholders product, engineering
and design.
4. Must have average above average knowledge of the Adobe Suite.
5. Must be able to look at the product as a whole to design workflows that scale.
6. Must be able to measure UX changes and suggest further improvements.

Parameters for UI designers

1. Should be able to build UI components that meet the desired UX. Should be able to understand and
respect the UX.
2. Should follow the style guide and design according to the guidelines.
3. Understanding of typography, typographic grid, grid based systems, design frameworks and responsive
design principles is required. Should be able to adapt and extend the style guide as required and define new
UI components when needed.
4. Should be able to build reusable UI components.
5. Good communication with the product and engineering teams to assess feasibility of UI components.
6. Experience with motion/interaction design a plus.
7. Must know the Adobe Creative Suite well. Must also be familiar with prototyping tools.

Job Description

Senior User Experience Designer will be responsible for:

• Crafting experience for web, mobile and various interfaces by working with the Product Design group, product managers, internal business stakeholders, documentation team and developers.
• Understand underlying technical concepts and contribute to product requirement documents (PRDs)
• Apply User Centered Design principles and solid interaction design skills to translate concepts to high fidelity prototypes and transfer them to UI development teams. The deliverables include use-cases, navigational flows, wireframes and design specifications in the form of interactive prototypes.
• Demonstrate leadership and vision in determining and driving strategy decisions.
• Evangelizing good design practices / values at cross-team meetings
• Drive overall UI standards/patterns effort towards a unified design language
• Act as a mentor or facilitator to new and junior members of design team.

Skills

- 5+ years of experience as an Interaction or UX designer preferably in Networking Domain.

- Previous experience in designing web-based business applications from concept to prototype.

- A passion for solving problems and making complex systems of interaction fluid and easy to use.

- Excellent communication skills. Designers must be able to express their ideas clearly and work in a cross-functional team environment.

- Knowledge of industry-standard tools (Adobe Creative Suite, Sketch) for generating wireframes and demonstrated ability to deliver high quality design output.

- Ability to multi-task. You need to be able to stay organized and meet multiple deadlines across a variety of projects.

- A Bachelor and/or Master's in Interaction Design, HCI, Human Factors, or equivalent experience is preferred.

- Experience in agile development a plus.
