Job Description

Translate actionable insights from the design research team into mockups, patterns, prototypes and development-ready specifications. Create high fidelity UI designs that clearly illustrate how the application functions Participate in conversations around design systems, common patterns, assets and efficiencies within the product space. Collaborate directly with your design team and developers to build out, update and modernize software product user interfaces (while using agile methodologies). Design business process scenarios and flows for user interfaces and demos. Present design work as part of a compelling narrative to elicit buy-in from cross-disciplinary stakeholders. Understand complex business problems across our customer set in order to have context for deliverables. Share work in progress, along with giving and receiving critique. Collaborate with a wide variety of people (design researchers, content designers, developers, product owners, etc.) across our worldwide teams.

Skills

• Experience with creating user scenarios for usability testing, analysis of industry trends, task analysis, workflow design, layout & composition and reporting conclusions in well-developed documents.
• Experience with design tools (professional Sketch and InVision experience is required).
• Strong communication, storytelling and documentation skills.
• Comfortable working in a dynamic, team based environment.
• A keen eye for good design and attention to detail.
• A positive attitude.
• Portfolio of previous work must be presented incorporating final UI designs as well as rough work and sketches that demonstrate an understanding of interaction design, prototyping and visual design best practices.

Job Description

1. Work with project management to accurately estimate and scope out projects2. Work with information architecture and design teams during planning and production phases3. Ensure cross-device and cross-platform compatibility4. Converse with back-end teams to create optimum integration solutions5. Write code based on functional specifications6. Optimize development for user experience7. Comment code and produce documentation to industry standards8. Produce code to the highest standards while adhering to industry accepted architecture and design pattern techniques and methodologies (e.g., MVC, SOA, OOP, DI etc.)

Skills

1. 4-9 years experience
2. Excellent knowledge of hand-coded HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript
3. Hands-on experience working with Object Oriented JavaScript (OOJS), JavaScript libraries and their practical uses in building complex interactive experiences
4. Knowledge of common JavaScript design patterns
5. Hands-on experience with ECMAScript 2015+ and should be up-to-date with new specifications (different stages). Also, using transpilers like Babel to use features from all stages
6. Understanding of React.js, its core principles - lifecycle methods, virtual DOM etc. and at least 6 –12 months hands-on experience with the same
7. Understanding of one-way data flow and the Flux architecture.
8. Understanding of stateful (container) vs stateless (presentational) components and how to break down the application into components
9. Core understanding of how React’s state management works out of the box. Understanding of different libraries available to better manage application state like Redux/MobX. Difference in the way each library works (pure functions vs observables etc.) and the workflows as well as best practices
10. Different middleware implementations available for async actions in Redux like redux-thunk, redux-saga, redux-observable etc. Hands-on experience with at least one
11. Understanding of different CSS architectures that go hand-in-hand with React.js application
development. Pros and cons of component-level CSS vs global and where to apply each
12. Thorough understanding of Webpack bundler (version 2+). Experience with configuring Webpack from scratch is a plus
13. Hands-on experience with test-driven development using Jest or equivalent. Familiar with snap shot testing, code coverage. Experience working with utilities like Enzyme
14. Understanding of universal rendering with React.js. Hands-on experience with different out of the box implementations or custom implementation is a plus
