Learn and follow production processes for deliverables Create/maintain style guides (includes high fidelity visual assets, descriptions and UI component specifications) Write documentation and serve as a Subject Matter Expert for various UX subjects Lead/participate in team discussions, presentations and knowledge share POSSIBLE design (e.g., IxD) only when opportunity is available Produce consistent and professional, high-quality design work including icons, infographics and UI elements Create/maintain symbol libraries for various source files Follow branding guides/style guides Identify UI specifications using tools like Google Inspector Organize work and flow procedures to maintain quality and minimize risk of rework Maintain design records and files in a centralized location Juggle multiple projects while effectively managing timelines and expectations Educate peers on consistency and standards of UI elements Collaborate/work well in a team, with other designers, researchers and cross-functional team members to solve complex issues like interaction models and data visualization Accept and resolve critique gracefully

Skills

• Proficient in ADOBE Creative Cloud (e.g., Acrobat CC, Illustrator CC, InDesign CC, Photoshop CC, XD CC) and Sketch
• Experience in preparing final UI ready files based on supplied specifications
• Organized, detail-oriented and a quick learner
• Strong understanding of current design trends
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Able to multitask, prioritize, communicate progress and meet deadlines
• Able to recognize/interpret design issues/solutions, ask questions, make recommendations and influence the UI
• Able to effectively take directions and work both collaboratively and autonomously
• Able to thrive in a high pressure, deadline driven environment on a consistent basis
• Knowledge of HTML/CSS
• Knowledge of standard UI elements, including definitions, behaviors and usage
• Experience designing UI for websites and/or apps
• Experience designing icons
• Experience creating style guides­­­­
• A solid foundation in typography, layout and design
• Worked on medium - large sized projects
• Strong design portfolio required

Job Description

Designs and codes applications following specifications using the appropriate tools. Maintains and modifies existing applications without supervision. Performs maintenance programming for existing version of the application. Performs custom programming at customer request. Assumes responsibility for ongoing data architecture. Produces tests for developed software with reasonable test cases (includes unit, regression, integration tests where applicable). Integrates software components with the larger software system. Responsible for configuration management of documents, code, tests, and artifacts related to tasks Implement high traffic web applications. Assist junior engineers with project assignments, providing them guidance, implementation feedback and helping them understand our business domain. Assist in Code Reviews and Design Reviews. Independently work with the team in planning, outlining the tasks involved in a project and executing tasks assigned in a timely fashion. Independently determine most effective engineering solutions to meet business requirements. Troubleshoot issues independently in a timely manner. Work with the Quality Assurance Team to determine test plans and procedures.

Skills

• Web Technologies including, but not limited to: jQuery, memcache, HTML, CSS, AJAX, SOAP, JSP/Servlet, JDBC, PL/SQL, Oracle 10g, AWS S3, SimpleDB, SQS, SNS, Amazon EC2, PDF Technologies, MongoDB, Python
• Knowledge in Java programming and Java/J2EE development experience using OOD principles.
• Unit testing frameworks: JUnit, EasyMock, Mockito
• SQL and no-SQL databases
• Experience with Amazon SimpleDB, SQS, S3, SNS
