Job Description

Identify, interpret and implement global print and pattern trends to work collaboratively with GM designers and GM merchandise teams to grow sales through great looking everyday product for a relaxed lifestyle, articulated through effective communication (visual and verbal). Create commercial, customer focused, coordinated graphics, applied to product ranges that best reflects Kmart’s ‘handwriting’ to grow incremental sales. This is executed through collaboration with your fellow designer, tasteful aesthetics and eye for trend. Generate commercial artwork for mass production.

Skills

• Highly proficient in illustrator and photoshop
• Ability to create accurate graphic art
• Transferable skills with ability to adapt to product types (shape, material, application etc)
• High level of aesthetic taste displayed in relation to colour, composition, materials, coordination and execution
• Ability to develop product that is appealing to the target customer
• Previous experience building relationships with key stakeholders
• Good level of influencing skills with merchandise, designer and KAS designer
• Able to interpret graphic requirements and manage artwork production
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks

Produce both digital and print material to support the development of our international business Execute deliverables such as catalogues, promotional material, in-store graphics, EDM’s, technology UX wireframes + more as required Collaborate closely with brand and marketing teams on the development of style guides, and collateral management across all markets Interpret product trends, market research, & develop relevant ways to represent product & ranges to suit different client requirements Give design support on packaging, and general ad-hoc materials related to running an international business

Skills

• Strong graphic design skills, from ideation, through to presentation building
• Experience working across similar product types
• Exceptional skills in the Adobe suite of programs
• Strong communication skills
• Obsessive attention to detail
• Ability to manage workload, multiple schedules, and timelines
• Proven ability working in a team environment that is fast paced, always shifting and bringing on new challenges
