Create and communicating detailed specifications and design intent to engineers.

Skills

• Strong work portfolio that demonstrates your capabilities in the UX process, and product design delivery.
• Strong problem-solving skills, with an ability to recognize and predict use cases and user interaction and incorporate them into design solutions.
• Experience or understanding of working within a cross-functional team or large-scale software development lifecycle using agile methodology.
• You are comfortable with changing priorities, demands and timelines.
• Experience of overseeing a team of designers, directing their work, and developing their abilities through mentoring and coaching.
• An understanding of UX research methods and data analytics to determine user engagement and sentiment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience planning and facilitating Design Thinking workshops and Design Sprints.
• Strong cross-functional collaboration and communication skills.
• Expertise in Responsive Design principles and best practices.

Job Description

Primarily responsible for establishing and maintaining 1:1 parity between established Storybook components and their Figma counterparts. Direct maintenance of an established component library in Storybook Applying design changes/updates/alignments to developed components in accordance with Figma artifacts. Work with Design System team to identify, estimate and implement pattern evolvements to better serve needs of the wider DPD Designer community

Skills

• Designing and building React based single-page applications, reusable UI components, and UI frameworks.
• Demonstrated ability to build functional React components.
• Demonstrated deep knowledge of theming components in React.
• Demonstrated skills in working with Storybook, writing new stories and modifying existing ones
• Experience with implementing components from Figma specifications
• Obsessive attention to detail
• Awareness of current computing trends and technologies
• Experience with Jira/Confluence, Git/GitHub
• Excellent communication and time-management skills.

Job Description

Lead the ideation, direction and creation of UX designs within a multifunctional team and with a strong understanding of an iterative, user-focused approach. Organize and lead workshops to promote and implement design thinking including whiteboarding, Affinity Mapping, Role-Play and mind-mapping to name a few. Take ownership of dedicated tasks under the UX Director to keep up with technological changes, new UX methodologies, design patterns and innovations within the industry. Collaborate with other team members to provide mentorship and lead by example to ensure UX team efficiency and effectiveness in delivering on the project and team goals. Own the validation, usability, design quality and execution of final designs, from user research through final visual designs to development. Ensure appropriate UX methodologies and design best practices persist on projects – so that design decisions result in optimal end-user experiences and outcomes.
