Job Description

Develop the information architecture (IA) and the strategy, specifically to build centralized documentation for developers Collaborate closely with content strategist/UX Writer, engineers, product, operation, and business to develop the IA and the approach/strategy Own multiple streams/pods or projects assigned with less supervision Develop wireframes and assemble them into a detailed flow that covers multiple scenarios, positive and negative, which are later translated into the design using an industry-standard application such as Figma Define, estimate and manage design project tasks using a project management platform, both for design and development, and consistently track the progress in a timely manner Share your work regularly within an internal design team, product/engineering team, and regular design review Participate actively in the hiring process and mentor junior designers to help them through their day-to-day work, and provide guidance on design craft and core skills

Skills

• Had a frontend engineering role in the past before switching to a product design role
• Able to understand the product briefs (problem space) and able to communicate/present/explain ideas and solutions to the stakeholders and teams with less supervision from the manager or project lead
• Works closely with other functions (research, data, product, business) to influence strategy with less supervision
• Contributes to stream-level OKR planning together with the manager or project lead
• Able to apply metrics and evaluates data to answer questions, validate assumptions, and quantify outcomes
• Ability to dive into users’ pain points and validate the hypothesis through usability testing or any other type of research
• Understand the concept of a design language system and how to strategically use it as an advantage to the design process.

Work closely with product designers under the designated stream/product to execute entire features or product wireframes, as well as follow the predefined process set by the product team Effectively present ideas and design rationale based on the product requirements Improve the look and feel of a wireframe into the hi-fidelity user interface using our design system Understand the data or research insight into the design decisions Contribute to improving, maintaining, and adopting the design system and involving in the documentation phase Work closely with front-end engineers and product designers to deliver design specifications under the supervision of the Design Lead Deliver advanced prototype based on the product requirement with good functionality for design review and usability testing purpose Proactively seek/give feedback from other stakeholders to make sure concepts are meeting the intended project goal

Skills

• Strong understanding of visual hierarchy, visual user interface design, animations, transition, and prototyping tools
• Strong understanding of how computers and humans interact and master the basics such as color, space, typography, hierarchy, and paddings and grids
• Proficient in interaction design tools such as Sketch, Figma, Protopie, and/or other industry design and prototyping tools
• Having knowledge in front-end/programming skills, such as HTML, CSS, XCode or Android is a major plus
• Strong understanding of the platform that you are building such as mobile app, website
• Strong understanding of the fundamentals of design systems and how it works at scale
• Attention to detail and ability to structure design systems/components for an easy handoff to a large team of engineers
