Job Description

Help conduct user research and tests, or interpret the readily collected data and insights, in the execution of products, websites, and mobile apps. Outline the scope of featured & user interactions, define the navigation and information hierarchy. Build pretotypes or work from evidence captured by previous pretotyping effort. Create lo-fi and hi-fi designs, to make data-centric products intuitive. Build prototypes and drive testing phases on your designs, to understand how well they perform. Review the output of Interaction Development in collaboration with QA engineers, to provide feedback on the implementation of the approved UI and expected level of fidelity. Conduct card sorting, and more relevant UX activities where required. Collaborate with cross-functional teams on projects by communicating effectively about user needs, tasks, and responsibilities. Report to the Head of Product Experience, and work closely with Product Managers, Project Managers, Interaction Developers, Quality Assurance, and other Designers. Work from our office in Chennai and meet the Business Visa requirements for short term to Melbourne, Australia on a need-basis.

• Curious, empathetic, asking insightful questions, and listening to & acting on feedback, to ensure the end-user has a recurring positive experience.
• An investigator who understands what drives users to perform specific actions and deduce how to design the end interface.
• Analytical in critically thinking about user needs, and creative in your Designs and approach to solve user problems. You do not get attached to a solution or design execution, able to fail-fast and move through iterations.
• An organized individual who prioritizes project tasks and responsibilities. You can work in a fast-paced team environment as well as in a self-managed fashion when required.
