Job Description

Conduct user research activities, including surveys, interviews, usability testing, and persona development, to gain deep insights into the needs, preferences, and pain points of African users. Analyse user feedback, behavioural data, and market trends to inform UX design decisions and prioritise feature enhancements. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to advocate for user-centered design principles throughout the product development lifecycle. Information Architecture and Wireframing: Define clear information architecture and navigation structures that facilitate intuitive user journeys and task completion. Develop low-fidelity and high-fidelity wireframes, prototypes, and interactive mock-ups to visualise design concepts and gather stakeholder feedback. Iterate on design solutions based on user testing results, usability best practices, and business requirements.

Skills

• Strong portfolio showcasing a range of UX/UI design projects, with an emphasis on mobile applications and responsive web design.
• Proficiency in design tools such as Sketch, Adobe XD, Figma, or similar software.
• Solid understanding of usability principles, information architecture, interaction design, and user-centered design methodologies.
• Familiarity with accessibility standards, responsive design principles, and internationalisation/localisation considerations.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
• Passion for user advocacy, empathy, and continuous improvement.
• Fluency in English; proficiency in additional languages spoken in African countries is a plus.
