ABOUT THE ROLE

Toppr is looking for a Product Designer. As a Product Designer, you will be a strategic member influencing the design evolution of our product. As part of the Product team, you have the opportunity to solve challenging user experience problems with simple, empathetic solutions. You’ll also be responsible for developing and communicating a compelling design vision at all levels within the organization, balancing a north star design and strategy with the need to be tactical and results-oriented.

HOW YOU’LL RAMP

In First Week
● A warm welcome, introductions to people, product and product design.
● Get acquainted to the product design process and understand all the on-going projects.
● Participate in customer feedback calls to gain user insight and understand customer pain points.
● Play an active part in designing at least one customer-facing feature.

By Day 30
● Have ownership to design one large product feature.
● Design low-fi to hi-fi mockups to optimize user flows within the product.
● Contribute towards product interaction & interface style guide.

By Day 90
● Drive new expertise on the team around analyzing tasks, model information, navigation and flows using UX best practices.
● Deliver design solutions to stakeholders and company executives, defend design decisions and incorporate feedback into the design cycle.

KEY QUALIFICATIONS

● 1+ years of visual and product communication experience supported by a strong portfolio.
● Bachelor's degree in Graphic design, fine arts, media or equivalent is a plus.
● Extensive experience in a leading individual contributor role for a consumer or enterprise product company.
● Experience working and collaborating with diverse teams in a dynamic, rapid growth environment.
● Up-to-date with industry-leading software and technologies (In Design, Illustrator, Dreamweaver, Photoshop, CorelDraw, Sketch etc).

● Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
● Motivation: Must be a self-motivated team player able to work in a small, fast-paced environment without much oversight. You can initiate and drive multiple projects concurrently.
● Attention to detail: You love the little big details. You can ensure we ship a well-crafted product at a timely pace.
● Good eye for aesthetics: Layout, grid systems, colour theory and typography, information design, visual hierarchy.
