Develop new user-facing features Build reusable code and libraries for future use Ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs Optimize application for maximum speed and scalability Collaborate with other team members and stakeholders

Skills

• Bachelor of Engineering in Computer Science or equivalent
• At least 2+ years of relevant experience
• Proficient understanding of web markup, including HTML5 and CSS3
• Proficient understanding of client-side scripting and JavaScript frameworks, including jQuery
• Proficient understanding of cross-browser compatibility issues and ways to work around them.
• Good understanding of SEO principles and ensuring that application will adhere to them.
• Good understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git
• Basic understanding of server-side CSS pre-processing platforms, such as LESS or SASS
• Basic knowledge of image authoring tools, to be able to crop, resize or perform small adjustments to an image. Familiarity with tools such as as Gimp, Photoshop or Sketch is a plus.
• Working knowledge of Linux / Mac environments
• Cares deeply about clean and semantic code, and a passion for delivering a great user experience
