Job Description

We’re looking for a full-time User Interface Designer to join our growing team. The User Interface Designer creates and iterates over the visual design of our applications. You’ll be playing an active role working with the Product Heads and Managers, the user experience team, and software developers to develop applications that are engaging and intuitive to use. Using your skills in interactive design you’ll deliver against business needs, product vision and objectives.

Skills

• Experience working within an agile environment (design, development, and delivery)
• Education background or degree in Human-Computer Interaction, UI Design, Graphic Design, or related field.
• A portfolio that demonstrates relevant skills and experience.
• Proficient in applications such as Figma, XD, Photoshop, Illustrator.
• Ability to work with and create illustrations and graphics.
• Ability to convert wireframes and user flows to high fidelity mockups and prototypes.
• A basic understanding of HTML and CSS is a plus.
• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication, facilitation, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
• Strong attention to detail, deadline-driven, team player, and open to constructive criticism.

Job Description

1. Develop new user-facing features. 2. Build reusable code and libraries for future use. 3. Ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs. 4. Optimize application for maximum speed and scalability. 5. Assure that all user input is validated before submitting to back-end. 6. Collaborate with other team members and stakeholders.

Skills

1. Proficient understanding of web markup, including HTML5, CSS3

2. Basic understanding of server-side CSS pre-processing platforms, such as LESS and SASS

3. Proficient understanding of client-side scripting and JavaScript frameworks, including jQuery

4. Good understanding of advanced JavaScript libraries and frameworks, such as AngularJS

5. Good understanding of asynchronous request handling, partial page updates, and AJAX

6. Basic knowledge of image authoring tools, to be able to crop, resize, or perform small adjustments on an image. Familiarity with tools such as as Gimp or Photoshop is a plus.

7. Proficient understanding of cross-browser compatibility issues and ways to work around them.

8. Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git / SVN

9. Good understanding of SEO principles and ensuring that application will adhere to them
