Lead the UX / UI design function for an Enterprise SAAS product Evangelize a clear vision of best-in-class designs to senior executives, customers and analysts Lead the user experience design and research discipline including building a strong team of design professionals as well as continually improving UX capabilities, tools, processes and best practices Responsible for all engagements including user research, concepts, wireframes, prototypes, specifications that lead to a great product experience. Be passionate about every detail of your design Remains flexible and calm in the face of ambiguity Craft UX engagements that exceed customer expectations by partnering with key product stakeholders to understand and support product business goals, advocating user centered design (UCD) industry best practices, and effectively managing UX resources Lead cross-team conceptual development; be a strategic thought leader in how to implement unmatched experiences that represent the most customer-centric intersection between design, business, content, and technology Hire, Coach and mentor a strong team of user experience professionals

Skills

• 10+ years of experience as a user experience designer, interaction designer, information architect, or similar UX-related role.
• Four or more years of experience leading projects with other UX Designers
• Two or more years directly managing a team of UX Designers
• Fluency in best practices for information architecture and interaction design, user-centered design process, as well as strong knowledge of user experience principles and techniques.
• Ability to perform well in highly dynamic, rapidly changing environment
• Solid written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present a strong rationale for design decisions.
• Passion to work at a startup
• Understanding of common software development practices
• Understanding of front end technologies will be added advantage.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in related design field, certification or special accreditations from reputed design schools. Certification around usability/human factors would be a plus
