Job Description

We are looking for people with proven narrative, conceptual and aesthetic talent. They must be comfortable designing and visualising information across a wide range of media and formats (publication design, web and mobile interfaces, traditional advertising, collateral and video production). As an individual they should have a keen eye for detail and have a proven track record of creating communications and stories that are authentic to a client's brand, and connect emotionally with a range of audiences.

Skills

• Bachelor's/Masters degree in design or architecture with a portfolio that includes design for web, print, UI, UX, mobile, exhibition/space design or fiml production
• At least 2 years of experience in a multi-disciplinary design firm or freelancing.
• Ability to work well with interdisciplinary teams of designers and developers, clients and vendors.
• Ability to help translate abstract and conceptual ideas into engaging design solutions.
• Ability to create themes/ranges and create innovative design solutions, using these themes, across a wide range of media and formats.
• Ability to copy write, and edit.
• Excellent time-management and prioritisation skills, meticulous attention to detail, and the ability to multi-task across projects, and self-manage.
• Excellent typography and text layout skills with meticulous attention to detail.
• Understanding of printing process, and creation of production-ready artwork.
• Exhibits stylistic breadth, attention to detail, and balances beauty, innovation and usability.
• Understanding of the constraints of working within client brands.
• Facilitate project communication across a multidisciplinary team through all phases of projects.
• Must work well under pressure and be able to meet aggressive deadlines.
• Must have examples that demonstrate consistent visual design and be able to articulate why specific visual aspects were used.
• Understanding of aesthetic beyond two-dimensional artwork, which may include packaging, environmental graphics, product design, time-based design, or user experience.
• Ability to articulate a strategic and rational design process.

Skill Set

• Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign).
• Understanding of the limits and capabilities of HTML5, CSS3 and responsive Web Design.
• Knowledge of Time-line based software (Adobe Flash, After Effects, Adobe Edge).
• Fluent in document creation and presentation software such as iWork and Microsoft Office.
