Job Description

Manage the total experience of the platform, not just a single feature. Always be cognizant of the overall experience of the user and keep consistency throughout the platform. Cultivate and sustain industry-specific needs and problems. Strong problem-solving skills and ability to conceptualize the solutions in a simple and elegant manner. Work closely with Product Manager to understand the requirement, the market, and goals of various personas. Create detailed user flows, wireframes, low & high fidelity mockups based on requirements from Product Management. Effectively and clearly communicate UX to relevant teams. Design and deliver UX for Web (responsive) and Mobile (iOS and Android) Collaborate with the team and enhance the feature’s UX by iterating. Be in charge of the UX until the delivery of the workflow. Quickly iterate and offer suggestions based on design review from peers or learning found in user testing. Explore and consistently capture edge-cases/negative-cases and their subsequent flows so the engineering team can implement them. Perform UX research along with Product Manager to identify areas of improvement that can enhance user experience. Clearly articulate issues and suggest ways to reduce user friction.

Skills

• Experience as a Software UX designer and/or Information Architect at a technology company.
• Expert understanding of information architecture and layout design principles.
• Expert knowledge of UX process and design principles.
• Expert knowledge of native application (Web, iOS, and Android) design patterns.
• Awareness of current trends in user interface design.
• Open-minded and ability to collaborate with the team. Receives peer critiques with a positive attitude.
• Proficiency with design and prototyping tools (Figma, Invision, Sketch, etc).
• Obsessive attention to detail and ability to consistently capture edge-cases.

Job Description

Understand product specifications and user psychology. Conduct concept and usability testing and gather feedback. Create personas through user research and data. Define the right interaction model and evaluate its success. Develop wireframes and prototypes around customer needs. Find creative ways to solve UX problems (e.g. usability, findability). Work with UI designers to implement attractive designs. Communicate design ideas and prototypes to developers. Possibly build SASS and HTML shell mockups for developers. Keep abreast of competitor products and industry trends.

Skills

• 3+ years experience designing desktop, web and/or mobile apps.
• Strong comfort level with an iterative design process. A deep appreciation for simple solutions to complex problems.
• A portfolio of extraordinary work demonstrating the successful delivery of innovative interface design solutions.
• Mastery of fundamental visual and interactive design disciplines and principals.
• An extraordinary eye for pixel-perfect detail.
• Strong collaboration skills.
• Ability to work independently, handling schedules in fast-paced, multi-project environment.
• Expert-level skills with design tools, such as Sketch, InvisionApp, Adobe CS, etc.
• Ability to produce high-fidelity (pixel-accurate) comps of designs, rapidly.
