Job Description

The UI designer will be responsible for design user interfaces and visual design mockups for desktop, web and mobile applications. He/she will be required to use design fundamentals & apply them in the context of a project, be it in term of user experience design, color theory, layout and composition, typography, etc.

Skills

• Knowledge and a keen understanding of core visual design fundamentals like color, composition & typography
• Awareness and at least a basic practical knowledge of how to design for digital media, specifically web and mobile
• Ability to use and adapt to digital design tools like Adobe Photoshop, Fireworks, Illustrator, etc.
• Formal education in design (G. D. Art, BFA, etc.) would be a plus, although not mandatory
• Good communication skills, teamwork and the ability to perform assigned tasks with minimal oversight
• A passion for excellence and low tolerance towards mediocre design and output
