Job Description

Translate concepts into user flows, wireframes, mockups and prototypes that lead to intuitive user experiences. Facilitate the product’s vision by researching, conceiving, sketching, prototyping and user-testing experiences for digital products. Design and deliver wireframes, user stories, user journeys, and mockups optimized for a wide range of devices and interfaces. Identify design problems and devise elegant solutions. Make strategic design and user-experience decisions related to core, functions and features. Take a user-centered design approach and rapidly test and iterate your designs. Collaborate with other team members and stakeholders. Ask smart questions, take risks and champion new ideas.

Skills

• Expertise in standard UX software such as Figma, Sketch, InVision, Adobe Suite and the like is a must. Basic HTML5, CSS3 skills are a plus.
• Ability to work with the team to understand detailed requirements and design complete user experiences that meet the products’s needs and vision.
• Extensive experience in using UX design best practices to design solutions, and a deep understanding of mobile-first and responsive design.
• A solid grasp of user-centered design (UCD), planning and conducting user research, user testing, A/B testing, rapid prototyping, heuristic analysis, usability and accessibility concerns.
• Ability to iterate designs and solutions efficiently and intelligently.
• Ability to clearly and effectively communicate design processes, ideas, and solutions to teams and stakeholders.
• A clear understanding of the importance of user-centered design and design thinking.
• Ability to work effectively in a team setting including synthesizing abstract ideas into concrete design implications.
• Be excited about collaborating and communicating closely with teams and other stakeholders via a distributed model, to regularly deliver design solutions for approval.
• Be passionate about resolving user pain points through great design.
• Be open to receiving feedback and constructive criticism.
• Be passionate about all things UX and other areas of design and innovation. Research and showcase knowledge in the industry’s latest trends and technologies.

Work closely with product and engineering teams to enhance the user experience of SplashLearn’s new and existing products. Conduct user research (with teachers, parents, and kids) and usability studies to build user personas, user goals, storyboards, and user journeys. Translate the user journeys into wireframes and prototypes for multiple devices. Test the prototypes with multiple user personas to get real-time user feedback and to validate the design hypothesis. Work closely with the engineering team to ensure prototypes are translated into the product and ensure pixel-perfect designs. Analyze data to identify gaps in user experience and to improve upon the gaps.

Skills

• Familiarity with user interface guides for different devices (mobile, desktop, tablet) and operating systems (iOS/Android).
• Ability to generate actionable insights by analyzing data and user's behavior.

• Time and resource management skills.
• Ability to learn fast and take direction.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills and the ability to clearly articulate design decisions to the team and leadership.

Job Description

Create the vision for crafting unique and compelling motion design for marketing collateral to be used across channels and platforms Brainstorm, conceptualize and storyboard new ideas for eye-catching marketing assets From ideation to execution, create style frames, illustrations, and animations which also includes character animation to produce stunning video creatives Do basic sound design, SFX, background score selection and sound editing for video assets Adapting, encoding, converting videos, adding effects to enhance the end product Work hand in hand with the designers and illustrators to keep the consistency of the design language in motion projects Create visually appealing animated typography to help communicate a message on mediums where users have a very small attention span Stay updated with the latest in design on social media and the competitions visual marketing strategies

Skills

• In-depth knowledge of the Adobe creative suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects, Premiere Pro)
• Basic understanding of audio editing tools like Audacity, Adobe Audition
• Strong understanding of the theory and aesthetics of graphics creation, color correction, and basic audio
• Have a passion for motion design and storytelling
• Some experience in 2D character animation using After Effects
• Ability to collaborate, mediate and arrive at solutions to design problems
• Knowledge of 3D animation software will be a plus
• Strong creative thinking, exhibiting a range of varied styles and techniques
