Partner. Collaborate with UX designers and product managers on the research needs and objectives. Become their trusted ally in representing the voice of the user. Empathize. Help us to understand how to improve workflows for users. Collaborate. Kick-off projects with your cross-functional team; work with them to determine research objectives and guide them through the best methods to get actionable insights. Work with our internal subject-matter experts to get a better understanding of the products and needs of our users. Follow through. Ensure that the voice of the user is considered throughout the design process and that research findings are added to the product management backlog.

Skills

• An understanding of the strengths and shortcomings of different research methods, including when and how to apply them during the product development process and the ability to analyze data to produce actionable insights
• End-to-end experience with all aspects of the user research phases: Planning/Ideation, User Recruiting, Moderating Sessions, Synthesis & Analysis, Reporting & Communicating the research findings
• A highly collaborative mindset: experience working successfully with stakeholders to understand their product needs, converting them into actionable research findings
• Flexibility and the ability to adapt with a sense of curiosity; be able to hear and take in feedback – always willing to learn new things about your field and self
• Excellent communication, self-management, organizational skills and an appreciation for the art of storytelling; you will present and share findings with your team and stakeholders and ensure that research insights are not lost in the product development process

Job Description

Partner. Collaborate with product managers on the roadmap. Understand business objectives, strategy and requirements. Become their trusted ally representing the voice of the customer. Empathize. Meet with customers to understand their needs, workflows and pain points. Listen to what they say, and see what they actually do. Share their journey and struggle with the rest of the organization. Inspire. Blaze a trail. Synthesize input and show us what’s possible. Create conceptual designs and storyboards that illustrate a vision for the product, and show how a customer will accomplish their goals. Collaborate. Kick-off projects with your cross-functional scrum team; facilitate whiteboarding sessions to tap subject-matter experts and get a diversity of ideas on the table. Collaborate with other members of the UX team, identifying opportunities for alignment and synergy across projects. Design & Build. Create detailed designs and prototypes in Figma using a library of page templates and UI components. Illustrate any required conceptual models, workflow diagrams, or journey maps. Then work with our research team to validate your work. Follow through. Work closely with development and QA to understand technical feasibility, and ensure designs are understood and implemented with quality.

Skills

• Ability to understand complex domains, and simplify them through the design process
• Some technical aptitude, ideally with prior experience in networking or security
• Breadth of knowledge of the user experience process, with depth in interaction design
• Demonstrable expertise in creating wireframes, design specifications, storyboards, journey maps, user flows, application/site maps, and other design artifacts
• Enjoy collaborating with people, and working in an Agile/Scrum development process
• Skilled with Figma
• Excellent communication and presentation skills (in English)
• Graduate or Undergraduate degree in Human-Computer Interaction, Human Factors, Psychology, or a design-related field
