    Job Description

    UX Designer As an UX Designer you will focus on the entire experience of our product & develop a strongempathy with those who use them. Armed with this empathy, you will craft design concepts thatmeaningfully improve the user experience of Whatfix. You will take those concepts from paperor whiteboard sketches through to detailed, precise wireframes and prototypes that allowdevelopers to understand the detail behind your proposals. As part of a growing design team,you will have the chance to contribute fresh ideas and ways of working. Other duties of the UX Designer includes:● Reviewing requirements gathered from client stakeholders, product managers, andexploring how these can be translated into a compelling design concept● Participating in collaborative brainstorming & sketching workshops alongsidecolleagues and stakeholders● Collaborating with other UX designers to carry out user research, discovering theinsights that will guide your concepts● Illustrating user journeys, personas and goals, information models and more● Drawing upon existing design standards and pattern libraries, as well as identifyingopportunities to expand them where necessary● Producing wireframes and interactive prototypes to depict proposed functionality tostakeholders, potential users, developers and other audience● Working closely with Visual Designers to collaboratively sketch out early thinking andto iterate on detailed interaction design work● Providing developers and product managers with detail about your design concepts,through annotations and/or verbal briefings● Actively seeking out feedback and constantly challenging both your own ideas andthose of others on your teamAbout YouYou have a talent and passion not only for experience & interaction design but for informationarchitecture, prototyping, and user research. You are deeply curious about people — theirmotives, their environments, the things they are trying to achieve — and recognise that they areat the core of any design project you carry out. Bad user experiences frustrate you and youwould take every opportunity you get to eliminate them. Experience and Qualifications● Level of Experience: 2-5 years of experience● You will have a degree or post-graduate qualification in Interaction Design, HCI, Productdesign or have had relevant work experience● You are adept at creating sketches to explore and communicate your ideas at an earlystage● You have experience of using Axure or other commonly used prototyping tools likeBalsamiq or Omnigraffle You can quickly develop competence in new software toolswhen required● Preferably, you’ll have designed products and services with complex user interfaces● You advocate empathy for real users and evidence-driven, iterative design● You are tirelessly enthusiastic and love championing user experience within an agileproduct development team.● You understand the practical application of user-centred design and how to buildengaging experiences● You are detail-oriented, highly organised, self-sufficient, and delivery focused● You are friendly and adaptable, an excellent communicator, and believe in workingtransparently● You are confident and knowledgeable about interaction design, information architectureand analysis of user requirementsWe are an equal opportunity employer and value diversity at our company.     Whatfix is a SaaS based platform which provides in-app guidance and performance support for web applications and software products.[1] Whatfix helps companies to create interactive walkthroughs[2] that appear within web applications.Whatfix has offices in San Jose, California and Bengaluru, India.

    Cofounders Khadim Batti and Vara Kumar first developed a search and social media engagement platform for SMBs.[3] The product then pivoted to an interactive guidance platform for enterprises called Whatfix.     Whatfix's platform provides product adoption, user onboarding, employee training, self-service support and performance support for companies using enterprise web applications.[9]The platform allows SaaS application users to create interactive walkthroughs, or in-app guidance flows, that can lead users through a task on the application.

    Whatfix has obtained ISO 27001:2013 certification[10] as well as being SCORM 1.2 and DITA compliant.[11] Whatfix is available as a paid Business version as well as a free version.[12] Whatfix is most commonly used on platforms like Salesforce, SAP SuccessFactors, Oracle Cloud, Workday, SharePoint, Apttus etc.
