Job Description

Managing UX team supporting team multiple products. Advocates for great user experiences Leads user research. Develops personas, journey maps, empathy maps, and other artifacts that define user requirements and inform design decisions and direction of development. Designs and conducts user walkthroughs, as well as formative and summative usability tests to understand user challenges, test prototypes, and validate designs. Assists in defining participant recruitment methodology to support business needs. Creates iterative mockups and prototypes for new products, features, and enhancements that clearly communicate designs and future product vision via UI Design Specifications. Collaborates with Product Management, Product Development, and other cross-functional teams to define requirements, and develop a shared understanding of business goals and product direction Builds strong relationships with project stakeholders, and influences decisions on product strategy. Collaborates with the Information Development team to define progressive disclosure strategies and associated content deliverables Contributes to, curates, and expands our design system to build visual and interaction pattern consistency across Rocket products Mentors and coaches other UX Designers

Skills

• A portfolio that demonstrates a mastery of interaction design, design thinking, user research, and user-centered design process, as well as experience as a creative process leader
• Experience integrating strategic design work and the agile development process
• Proficient with design programs and prototyping tools (for example, Adobe XD, Axure, Sketch, or Figma). Experience structuring mockup projects to maximize UX team efficiency.
• Expertise with the development, maintenance and use of a design system
• Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
• Excellent written and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work successfully with a virtual, international team
• Strong data visualization skills
• Significant expertise in accessibility and internationalization best practices
• Strong project management and leadership skills as well as prioritization skills
• Demonstrated ability to think critically about user journeys and workflows and perform Task Analysis using user and SME input.
