Job Description

Validate functional specifications, build technical specifications and application documentation Develop new user-facing features, integrate new or enhanced application components Build reusable code and libraries for future use Ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs Optimize application for maximum speed and scalability Assure that all user input is validated before submitting to back-end Collaborate with other team members and stakeholders Be champion and educator on modern front-end development workflow Support change readiness initiatives as needed Create and maintain a toolkit of UI controls and custom elements.

Skills

• Thorough knowledge and frequent application of technical standards, principles, concepts and techniques
• Expert in semantic web markup, including HTML5, CSS3, Bootstrap and Foundation.
• Understanding of server-side CSS pre-processing platforms, such as LESS and SASS.
• Proficient in client-side scripting and JavaScript frameworks, including jQuery.
• Expert knowledge of advanced JavaScript libraries and frameworks, such as React / Redux, AngularJS, etc.
• Good understanding of asynchronous request handling, partial page updates, and AJAX.
• Basic knowledge of image authoring tools, to be able to crop, resize, or perform small adjustments on an image. Familiarity with tools such as Sketch.app, Invision.app or Photoshop is a plus.
• Proficient understanding of cross-browser compatibility issues and ways to work around them.
• Proficient with code versioning tools, such as Git.
• Expert knowledge of Node.js, Webpack, Babel, etc.
• Good understanding of SEO principles and ensuring that application will adhere to them.

Job Description

Identify the appropriate texture, materials, and key technical work Illustrate and communicate complex design solutions across uses cases by creating process flows, wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity mock-ups Use data collected from research, user testing, and market analysis to create truly user-centric designs Use a variety of metrics to analyze and continuously improve the user experience Collaborate on product decisions through an iterative approach Contribute to the product development process – from concept sketch to wireframe and visual design, into prototyping and product testing Develop and maintain detailed design documentation including specification, redlines, and style guides Work closely with other Product analysts and Product managers

Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in a related technical field from an accredited college or university
• 3+ years of software development experience with strong hands-on skills, solid understanding of user experience guidelines, mobile application frameworks and design patterns (Applicable course-work may be considered in lieu of experience)
• 2+ years of experience developing application platforms running on both smartphones and tablets while leveraging JavaScript boilerplate frameworks like ReactJS and AngularJS (Applicable course-work may be considered in lieu of experience)
• Knowledge of professional software engineering practices for the full software development life cycle including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations
• Creative thinker with a vision
• Familiar with UML concepts and Agile methodologies such as SCRUM a plus
• Motivated self-starter with solid time management skills
• Sharp analytical abilities and proven design skills
