Job Description

Understand the User Environment, User Psychology, Engineering Specifications, and Business Requirements to conceptualize design ideas in line with engineering prototypes. Collect User Experience data from product pilots, guide design decisions based on these insights and iterate through feedback loops to optimize the design. Communicate design ideas through visualizations, prototypes and illustrations etc. Collaborate with the engineering team to finalize the Design for Manufacturing Support the Product Management Team throughout the Product lifecycle to deliver delightful product experiences through user research, problem discovery, solution ideation and validation. Be the advocate for user centered approach, design thinking and data based Iterative product development. Guide engineering teams with user side inputs for analysis and simulations Lead the development of human centered user design for HMI media Author, Iterate and maintain UI documentation

Skills

• Have relevant experience/knowledge of common industrial automation/robotics key components such as motors, actuators, sensors, pneumatic/hydraulic components
• Have experience with various manufacturing technologies such as machining, forming, casting, forging etc
• Experienced at structural design techniques, thumb rules and NVH criterion and have VAVE and DFMEA exposure
• You have worked in user experience design and visual design for electro-mechanical equipment or equivalent.
• You are excited about building never-seen-before products from scratch, interacting with users to identify opportunities and derive design inputs.
• You prefer the uncertain, ever changing, at times-chaotic but fast growing work environment of a startup to a well-structured, predictable corporate work culture.
• You can work unsupervised and set your own pace of work to match the business needs.

About the Company:

We are building a Modular Wall Finishing Robot that can automate end to end wall finishing activities like Plastering, Putty and Painting. Our robot will give a 10x increase in productivity, a 3x reduction in cost, uniform quality over large areas and greatly reduce safety hazards during the wall finishing process.
