Job Description

Contribute to the design of useful, usable, and desirable user interfaces and service design in a collaborative environment. Create user-centered designs by considering market segment analysis, customer feedback, site metrics, and usability findings. Use business requirements and customer research to assist in developing scenarios, use cases, user stories and high-level requirements. Design the visual style, interface, and interaction flow of applications and experiences in support of brand guidelines. Drive the design review cycle and close on design requirements independently. Develop conceptual diagrams, journey diagrams, wireframes, visual mockups, click-throughs, and prototypes. Develop and maintain detailed user-interface specifications and design patterns. Specific emphasis on user testing.

Skills

• A portfolio or samples of work demonstrating experience creating user-centered design solutions for web-based applications, mobile applications and/or consumer facing web sites and/or applications.
• Fluency in best practices for mobile information architecture and design, as well as strong knowledge of usability and accessibility principles and techniques.
• Experience designing for native mobile experiences (iOS, Android).
• Experience in design thinking methodologies, from research to design, building tangible outcomes.
• Proficiency with a variety of design and prototyping tools such as Sketch or InVision, Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Office.
• Visual design expertise demonstrated through mockups, prototypes, and style guides.
• Experience in service design involving combination of physical and digital spaces.
• Experience prototyping mobile interactions
• Ability to effectively and succinctly communicate the workings of complex systems and processes
• Experience working with Agile software development methodologies.
• Motivated by start-up style environment where rapid iteration is encouraged.
• Ability to adapt to rapidly changing business circumstance and have the ability to thrive in a constantly changing business environment.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
• Familiarity with content management and eCommerce solutions such as Acquia Drupal, Salesforce Commerce Cloud and Marketo preferred.
• Experience in eCommerce, retail or consumer packaged goods preferred.
