Job Description

Lead and conduct user research activities, such as user interviews, surveys, usability testing, and contextual inquiries, to uncover user needs and behaviors. Analyze and interpret qualitative and quantitative research data to identify patterns, trends, and insights that inform the design and development process. Create and maintain user personas, journey maps, and other artifacts that effectively communicate user behaviour and motivations. Collaborate with designers, product managers, and engineers to translate research findings into actionable design recommendations and improvements. Conduct competitive analysis and benchmarking to identify industry best practices and opportunities for innovation. Advocate for the user by providing evidence-based recommendations and influencing design decisions throughout the product development lifecycle. Collaborate with the UX team to develop and evolve research methodologies and processes, ensuring continuous improvement and innovation. Mentor and provide guidance to junior researchers, fostering their growth and development. Stay updated with the latest trends and advancements in UX research, and proactively apply new methodologies and tools to enhance research practices.

Skills

• Strong knowledge of qualitative and quantitative research methodologies, with expertise in usability testing, user interviews, surveys, and other UX research techniques.
• Proficiency in analyzing and interpreting research data, extracting meaningful insights, and presenting findings to stakeholders in a clear and compelling manner.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across cross-functional teams.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to think critically, leveraging research insights to inform design decisions.
• Proficiency in using industry-standard UX research tools, such as user testing platforms, survey tools, and data analysis software.
• Experience with remote research methods and tools is a plus.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks effectively.
• Leadership skills and the ability to mentor and guide junior researchers.

Strong Adobe After Effects, Adobe Premiere Pro, and Adobe Audition skills, ideally with demonstrable experience in motion graphics Ability to create high-quality content from a loose or constrained brief with short deadlines Ability to create art assets in Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator Strong creative thinking, exhibiting a range of various styles and techniques Good understanding of video formats, compression techniques, and format requirements/constraints Understanding products and producing work of a suitable style.
