Job Description

Create a deep understanding and empathy for buyers, retailers, manufacturers and internal users through primary field research, behavioural analysis, and/or secondary research. Work closely with cross-functional teams to identify research topics and critical research questions, create detailed study plans and build a research roadmap. Plan and conduct research by employing the best research methods based on research questions, timeline, and resourcing. Your research will be agile, keeping pace with the rapid innovation in the team, but also making sure that we're keeping an eye on the big picture in understanding our customer groups. Extract insights about the user and their behaviours and build useful artefacts (personas, cohort, mental model, journey/empathy map, user flows, storyboards, etc). Synthesise and communicate research findings through rich storytelling via presentations, reports, workshops and any other novel, creative approaches that you invent. Mentor and guide junior members of the team.

Skills

• Hands-on experience with wide range of qualitative and quantitative user research methodologies. (Ethnographic studies, contextual enquiries, survey design, lab-based/remote user testing and concept/paper prototype testing, etc).
• Ability to engage with the product and design teams to identify needs early and to translate them into a research plan.
• Experience conducting research across a variety of markets, modalities and environments.
• Exceptional behavioural data-collection skills and ability to understand, analyze and interpret complicated data.
• Ability to document and present research findings in a clear, confident, professional, and cogent manner.
• Excellent communication, presentation, interpersonal and analytical skills; the ability to communicate complex concepts clearly and persuasively.
