Job Description

Operate as the senior Motion Designer within the GDC team. Work closely with the Head of Post Production to manage our existing global workflows and support the introduction of new ones as required. Work with the Project Management team on projects to ensure that they are completed within allocated time and budget requirements. Report back to the Head of Post Production regularly to ensure that the software and hardware used, with a specific focus on our GDC presence, is best suited for our requirements. Brief other motion designers and freelancers as required. Present work to clients when necessary.

Skills

• Enthusiasm, drive, and a commitment to a career in post-production
• Experience with Adobe CC products, especially After Effects, Illustrator and Photoshop
• Experience with MAXON Red Giant and Cinema 4D
• Awareness of other commonly used VFX software packages, including NUKE and FLAME
• Advanced understanding of file formats and video codecs
• A good working knowledge of Windows and MacOS systems
• Good working knowledge of MS Word, Outlook and Power Point
• Organizational skills, capable of multi-tasking and an excellent problem-solver
• Excellent communication skills
• Good written English and an eye for detail

Working on multiple brands as part of a larger client offering and being responsible for the design output from small amends to large scale projects. Participating in stakeholder and customer interviews. Planning and running UX discovery client workshops Communicating stakeholder and customer needs into engaging user-centred design solutions. Revising and creating UX and UI documentation including; personas, user stories, user flows, sitemaps, content maps and wireframes. Creating prototypes that can be tested with users and shown to stakeholders. Run usability testing sessions, interpreting results and iterating concepts as required. Ensure visual design supports our client’s brands and evolving where necessary. Creating industry leading design work. Creating project documentation and guidelines. Work to deadlines and budgets.

• Demonstrable knowledge and experience around UX processes, methodologies and understand how they are best used within the context of a project
• Understanding of information architecture, content hierarchy and UX design principles in general
• Previous experience working within an agency environment
• Exceptional problem-solving skills
• Natural ability to collaborate in a team as part of the design process
• Excellent communication and presentation skills are vital
• Experience estimating work, meeting goals and timelines
• An inspirational thinker with brilliant ideas and able to think as part of a team, working closely with planners, creative, technical staff and the client
• Experience with user interface design patterns, standard user-centered design methodologies
• Demonstrated experience creating and implementing accessible (WCAG 2.1) designs
• Proficient in Sketch, InVision, Adobe CC tools (XD, After Effects and InDesign are desirable) and Microsoft suite
