Collaborate and interact with product managers, technical leads, engineers and UX team members to identify product opportunities and create compelling interfaces using the evolving design system Define user experience strategies for established and green-field products Undertake user research and synthesise insights that inform product roadmaps Participate in product refinement and revision based on the outcome of user validation sessions and inputs & suggestions from the product team Produce wireframes, user flows, prototypes, and production quality designs that effectively communicate design directions and detailed designs Participate in multiple UX-led initiatives and firm-wide initiatives in order to communicate the value of UX Contribute to the UX team in multiple internal initiatives, and contribute to growth of the team members and the overall team's goals Actively participate in the growth of team members through knowledge sharing sessions and by creating a culture of sharing & learning

Skills

• Experience designing and shipping large-scale product releases
• Passion for solving complex large-scale problems
• Experience working on enterprise platforms that leverage a large enterprise design systems
• Expertise in industry standard design tools such as Figma, Sketch, Invision, Adobe and Axure.
• Understanding of web standards, capabilities and best practices (HTML/CSS/JavaScript)

Skills

• Highly skilled in designing and developing server side applications using Java language and RESTful web services

Job Description

The Platform User Experience (UX) team is looking for an experienced UX professional. As a Senior User Experience Designer in the UX team, he/she will be responsible for driving the interaction design and look & feel of web, desktop & mobile applications for a variety of businesses at Goldman Sachs. The designer will work with business stakeholders, clients, and development teams to define, conceptualize, design, and validate the user experience of internal and external users. He / she will actively assist in defining and communicating a vision to improve the user experience of GS applications. The designer will help drive the creation of UI standards to provide consistency of experience across business units. The candidate must be an innovative, creative, and analytical problem solver. The candidate must have extensive experience working with development teams in an agile environment. Must have superior interpersonal skills, excellent communication and organization skills and be able to work on multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Skills

• 7+ years of experience in interaction design, information architecture, and visual design for digital experiences
• UX design experience for data intensive and transaction-oriented applications
• Strong knowledge of user centered design processes and principles
• Domain expertise in the financial sector
• Proven experience designing interactive applications that have been developed and achieved great user adoption
• Experience with data visualization and visual design a plus
• Practical understanding of the latest technologies used to build rich web, desktop, and mobile apps (HTML5, CSS, Javascript)
• Self-motivated and self-managed with a high degree of analytical ability and intellectual curiosity
