As a User Experience Designer, you will create a compelling design and intuitive experience for clients using our solutions. You will also design conceptual wireframes, high-fidelity mockups, information architecture diagrams, interaction specifications, and functional prototypes Your responsibilities also include quickly iteration on multiple design explorations to arrive at a simple but robust solution that accounts for complex requirements. Additionally, you will Collaborate with project teams by initiating, attending, and participating in meetings and critiques to solve design challenges and present ideas.

Additionally you will translate abstract concepts into simple and elegant user interfaces

Skills

• Bachelor’s degree/Master’s Degree in related field, or equivalent relevant work experience
• At least 5 year experience in facilitating design sessions with development project teams
• At least 5 years of experience in guiding and supporting UX designers.

Preferred Qualifications

• At least 3 year experience in driving engagement with human factors research and incorporate findings into design
• At least 3 year experience in translating abstract concepts into simple and elegant user interfaces

Job Description

As an User Experience Designer, you’ll be responsible for understanding the vision of Cerner domains and using this knowledge to communicate design specifications to engineering/development teams and solution owners. You’ll have the opportunity to solve complex design challenges and present new, innovative ideas across Cerner and our clients. You’ll help facilitate and run usability studies, interpret guidelines and existing requirements with solution managers, facilitate design sessions to help define vision, user stores, functional requirements, wireframes, and visual prototypes. You’ll work closely with our Usability Researchers (who are also on the UX team) to drive the vision of user-centered design as they execute recommendations to embed usability more deeply within each solution team

Skills

achelors in Industrial Design, Graphic Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Visual Design or related field, or equivalent relevant work experience
At least 1 year work experience in Design tool work experience such as Adobe Creative Cloud (CC) or Creative Suite (CS) apps like InDesign, Dreamweaver and Photoshop, Sketch, UX Pin

Preferred Qualifications:

At least 1 year experience in coding using HTML/CSS, JavaScript
At least 1 year experience in User Research and Usability Testing
At least 1 year experience in Mobile app design
