What will you do · Lead and/or work closely with Product Management and researchers to test assumptions and define real problems · Plan, lead and conduct design workshops · Design thoughtful user experiences and a great looking product based on real user needs, motivations, and pain-points · Contribute positively to design discussions by creating sketches, building wireframes and prototypes · Create and iterate on assets that reflect a brand, enforce a language, and inject beauty and life into a product. · Push creativity, challenge established thinking, and discover new ways of approaching (and solving) problems. · Take pride in preparing concepts as internal prototypes and share with the team · Ensure the coherent visual presentation of several touch-points. · Develop new approaches to complex design problems and convey ideas in tangible and aesthetically refined forms. · Provide constructive design commentary, and sharing evaluative critique · Deliver designs and follow through with the Engineering team to drive fit-and-finish polish · Apply UI standards, styles and patterns and assist with creation of visual artifacts and graphics for use in the UI as needed · Collaborate, test, refine and validate your designs with the team and the product’s end users · Identify possible usability issues with the existing product and make constructive suggestions for improvement · Effectively communicate research findings, conceptual ideas, detailed design, and design rationale both verbally and visually · Track current trends, patterns, and technologies, and share your passion for them with the CA design community · Coach & mentor junior User Experience Designers

Skills

· Deep, demonstrated experience in interaction design with an ability to contribute to design strategy, visual design and detailed design specifications

· Fluency with user research, usability testing and interaction design methods and tools

· Proficient knowledge of relationship of UX activities to development methods and work instructions (ex: Agile, Lean)

· Insatiable curiosity and an obsession with finding better ways of doing things

· Excellent communication skills, including experience speaking with a wide variety of technical and business audiences

· Strong co-design and facilitation skills

· A passion for creating products that resonate emotionally with people

· Experience using Adobe Creative Suite, Sketch, Balsamiq or Axure or other interaction design / prototyping tools

Job Description

Partner with product management, and engineering teams in the design, execution, and delivery of world class product experience. Turn complex problems into clean and delightful experiences and interactions. Utilize data, user feedback, UX best practices, and market knowledge to develop product strategies that ensure CA ITSM remains competitive. Produce measurement plans, timelines, user personas, storyboards, user flows, conceptual designs, design prototypes, and design specifications. Lead requirements gathering and co-design workshops, in addition to design reviews and critiques. Advocate for our customers/users within the organization. Build strong relationships across the organization

Skills

• Should have minimum of 3 to 6 years of experience as a User Experience Designer
• Solid understanding of user-centered design methodology and activities
• Excellent critical thinking and analysis skills
• The ability to articulate complex concepts to stakeholders at all levels and gain consensus.
• The ability to collaborate at all levels through workshops, written and verbal communications.
• A strong business sense; able to balance customer needs with business goals in developing solutions
• Track record of delivering user experience programs on-time and under budget
• The ability to design complex user interfaces - by way of user personas, information architecture, user flows, task flows, wireframes, rapid prototyping, etc.
• Experience with Agile software development methodologies
• Must be able to provide work samples showcasing UX prowess, creativity, and depth of thought, coupled with fluency in best practices for concept design, strategy development and user testing

• 5+ years of hands-on experience working as a User Experience Designer or Interaction Designer, or closely related role
• Bachelor’s degree or global equivalent in Information or Industrial Design, Human Computer Interaction, Human Factors, Cognitive Psychology, or related HCI discipline is required.
