Develop new user-facing features for mobile, tablet and desktop devices Build reusable code and libraries for future use Ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs Optimize application for maximum speed and scalability Collaborate with other team members and stakeholders Implement code according to best practices

Skills

• BS/MS/Equivalent in any of the following disciplines: Computer Science, Computer Engineer, Software Engineer or related degree preferred
• 1 to 3 years experience in front end web development
• Proficient understanding of web markup, including AngularJS, React, d3 or any visualization library (HighCharts, AMCharts), HTML5, CSS3/SASS, Bootstrap; strong grasp of SPA principles
• Proficient understanding of client-side scripting and JavaScript frameworks, including jQuery; strong experience with AJAX
• Customizing Open Source Scripts
• Experience turning PSD's into pixel-perfect webpages
• Strong understanding of cross-browser compatibility issues and ways to work around them, Modernizr, polyfills, caniuse, etc.
• Good understanding of page speed optimization principles and tools such as webpagetest, Yslow, GTMetrix
• Experience with mobile development and mobile-first responsive design. The following are preferred but not required:
• Vanilla Javascript development experience
• An understanding of SEO principles
• Familiarity with tools such as Photoshop
• Git / SVN
• Strong communication skill.
