Job Description

*Formulate design guidelines for all form factors keeping best design principles in mind. *Communicate design guidelines to product, business and engineering teams. Supervise adherence to them by different teams in all their deliverable. *Ability to articulate reasons behind different design choices through scientific and data driven approach. *Understand feature requirements and its objectives to deliver simple and elegant interfaces within stipulated timelines. *Ability to create interactive mockups so as to represent actual user journeys. *Ensure all designs delivered to the dev team are pixel perfect and work well on all form factors. *Aggressive when it comes to defending user experience, able to convince on the basis of design principles. *Drive the design of our products from initial concept through to final implementation with rapid prototyping. *Take end to end ownership of all the creatives. *Ensure that needed support is provided to the tech team during implementation. *Create a world class design team by attracting, mentoring, and retaining great designers. Foster individual growth and skill development amongst team members. *Develop processes and collaterals to drive standardization of UX and core UI framework. *Participate with product team in discussion related to measuring performance of key pages w.r.t metrics like page speed, page weight, CTA performance etc. *Report status of team’s deliverables on a regular basis.

Skills

*At least 8+ years of experience in leading the design for rich interactive web and mobile applications (on iOS and Android) that involves frequent repeat usage by consumers.

*Prior experience in creating a brand identity of a leading internet based business preferably in gaming industry.

*Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining exceptional attention to detail in all design deliverables.

*Ability to negotiate for the best UX without being dogmatic.

*Good understanding of latest trends and information architecture concepts so that designs that are delivered rank very high on usability and are able to achieve the desired CTAs.

*Knowledge of various user research methodologies such as field research, benchmarking studies etc. to continuously evaluate and suggest improvements on the product.

*Ability to quickly grasp and distill complex user design issues into clean, usable solutions.

*Good communication skills and should be well versed with storyboard creation, wireframe creation etc. to discuss design solutions with the product team.

*Good understanding of prototyping tools e.g. invisionapp (for collaboration with stakeholders), axure or balsamiq for wireframes etc.

*Good knowledge of Web technologies such as CSS, HTML, DHTML, JavaScript, JQuery and HTML best practices is highly preferable.

*Ability to work with a diverse set of stakeholders across different teams.

We are looking for a ” UX Manager ” for one of our esteemed Clients for Bangalore Location. RESPONSIBILITIES: -Lead user experience design — including the overall information architecture, detailed interaction design, visual design, and data visualization – across web and mobile interfaces.-Manage, mentor and develop a team of 3-4 interaction designers and visual designers on a daily basis.Recruit and hire additional designers if necessary over time.-Create and maintain a style guide to ensure a consistent user experience across all products. Be the champion of this style guide across the organization.Work collaboratively with Product Managers to fully understand user stories, create wireframes, develop low fidelity and high fidelity prototypes of the UX as part of a user-centered design process, listen to feedback, and iterate as need be to arrive at easy-to-use solutions which will “wow” our customers.-Ensure UX team works seamlessly with SCRUM teams in 2-week sprints by delivering graphic elements, and modifying UX as necessary for feasibility or speed of implementation.-Research the latest UX/UI concepts, trends and best practices, and incorporate into our practices and design patterns.-Leverage Customer Success team (as proxies for customer) to get early feedback on mock-ups. Work collaboratively with Customer Success team to get regular feedback directly from customers.-Perform usability studies, either on low fidelity mock-ups, high fidelity mock-ups, or actual products in production.

Skills

-Bachelor’s and/or Master’s degree in human-computer interaction (HCI).
-6-8+ years of experience as a UX designer across web-based B2B and B2C products, and at least 2-3 years experience managing other designers.
-A portfolio demonstrating experience with solving complex applications/work-flows with simple and elegant UX.
-Strong sense of design and aesthetics that delivers a self-evident experience for users.
-Deep knowledge of interaction design and data visualization best practices for both web and mobile (both iOS and Android).
-Must have a highly practical approach to UX – is always asking the question, “Does this user experience allow the user to accomplish their task as quickly and easily as possible?”
-Experience working collaboratively in a fast-moving startup environment.
-Experience with prototyping tools – both web-based (responsive) and mobile (iOS and Android)
-Working knowledge of JavaScript and performance considerations that influence UI design.
-Extremely strong interpersonal and communication skills – ability to convince, persuade, and reach agreement with others without being disagreeable.
