• Partner with Product Management, Development, and QA to create the user experience of the product from conception through launch• Design interaction flows and user experiences that are incredibly simple and elegant, optimizing usability and user productivity. Engage in sketching, concept generation, and other ideation exercises to push the boundaries of what we build• Craft wireframes that support proposed product designs across all relevant channels and devices. Iterate on designs based on feedback from users and internal stakeholders• Write detailed user interface specifications describing UI behavior• Organize and maintain designs and specifications in a place that is accessible to others• Lead UX activities to define and document information architecture, navigation structure, and design patterns• Be a strong, diplomatic advocate for user-centered design (“design thinking”) across the company
Skills
0-2 years of experience as a UX designer, preferably for rich internet applications and mobile devices.
• Significant professional experience in human-computer interaction based on core usability fundamentals. Bachelors in Human Computer Interaction, Human Factors, Usability, Cognitive or Experimental Psychology, or related discipline would be an added advantage.Your Specialties:
• Mastery of usability principles fundamental to interaction design
• Strong portfolio featuring examples of product and interaction work (web, app, and experience with data visualizations are applicable). Your portfolio should communicate the process you used to arrive at your final designs, and clearly specify what your role and contributions were
• Ability to influence high-level product direction by contributing a vision of a fantastic user experience
• A strong, clean visual design sense that values usability, simplicity, and consistency. Please note that we are not looking for a visual/graphic artist at this time.
• Great design communication skills. Ability to tell the story of a design from end-to-end.
• Familiarity with quantitative and quantitative UX research methodologies. Demonstrated ability to iterate on designs by integrating feedback and recommendations derived from user research
• Ability to create and follow interface guidelines, style guides, and best practices when designing for new platforms, and ability to intelligently challenge and improve them when necessary
• Experience working as an interaction designer in an agile environmentBonus Points!
• Familiarity with CRM applications, specifically Service (i.e. contact center) functionality. Prior experience designing applications or conducting user research with contact/call centers would be very beneficial.
