Read and interpret product spec documents into low-fi wireframes Discuss the implementation feasibilty of the interaction components with the engineering manager Convert the wireframes into hi-fi mocks Craft the user experience, pixel by pixel and behaviour by behaviour, by working closely with the developers Create UI assets like icons and illustrations wherever required Develop and maintain a Style Guide that is used across the various digital tools we develop Do Customer Support (Everybody in the product team does customer support) Get to be with the kids! And the teachers and parents - observing and testing how they use the tools you develop Participate in long team lunches and longer office cleanliness drives in equal measure (No escaping the last one!)

Skills

• Are deeply dissatisfied with the education system you came out from and want to challenge the status quo completely
• Spend sleepless nights worrying about whether the parent you met today would actually figure out which is the main CTA on a screen you just designed
• Have a deep understanding of typical Android/iOS/web interaction patterns, but also know that all rules and norms are meant to be broken
• Believe that magic happens when engineering and design work together, contributing to each other's ideas rather than fretting about not being understood
• Strive to create products with equal emphasis on their functional and emotional aspects instead of choosing one over the other

A background in design or engineering would make things easier but can be easily replaced by projects which represent your skill-set and inclination.

About the Company:

We work to transform education form the traditional system to a personalized system that focuses on skill development. We believe that the whole purpose of education should be to drastically increase the pace of mastery of performable skills for each and every learner.

We do this currently through our chain of self-operated pre-schools where we are designing and rethinking the entire learning experience – including the space and infrastructure (we have immersive environments instead of age-based classrooms), teachers and teacher training (our teachers are scientists and observers instead of being content deliverers) and parent engagement (parents as collaborators rather than being antagonists). We are developing a strong academic backbone through primary research and data analytics, probably the first organization to do so for early childhood. We use technology as an enabler at every step, to scale up our system to thousands and millions of learners.
