Create and present design solutions and strategies that bring the user story to life for a wide audience Sets criteria across the project to prioritize and scope objectives in order to meet quality expectations. Ensure the layout, composition, and information architecture for products and product features to ensure that underlying functionality is exposed in a clear and consistent manner Collaborate with PM, Dev, and Quality Leads across-teams to deliver high quality products Integrate and provide feedback to other design disciplines on the team Deliver interactions and flows that embrace or extend existing Dynamics design patterns Identify and articulate new design patterns suitable across multiple products Document design decisions for consumption by the broader design studio team, as well as key partner teams Work closely and iteratively with developers to ensure design accuracy and consistency Highlight unaddressed issues within his or her team and resolves, escalates, or finds the appropriate owner to ensure the highest level of quality.

Job Description

Ship human-centered experiences in E+D products and services Participate in and/or facilitate design brainstorming and work sessions Produce mood boards, storyboards, design briefs, sketches, visual language guidelines, visual comps, prototypes, scenarios, process flows, information architecture diagrams, wireframes, and other artifacts required to develop and evolve user experience designs Work across visual, interaction, motion, brand, and other designers to ensure your contribution enhances the overall user experience Present design ideas and assets as needed to peers, partners, and management in ways that bring the customer story to life, Incorporate feedback into design efforts Implement and/or evolve Microsoft's visual design language (including grid, typography, color and other design-language patterns) Effectively communicate with program managers and developers through implementation to realize design vision Communicate, defend, and build consensus around all aspects of design and design direction Deliver visual assets and/or guidance (information structures and hierarchies; navigation models; animations, wireframes, flows, and other visual prototypes; and redlines) to development counterparts on time and with quality, in accordance with agile methodology Work with user researchers to coordinate testing efforts, interpret test results, and incorporate results into design efforts Understand the array of technical constraints, user goals and business requirements that shape current and future products

Skills

• Deep understanding of interaction design principles and process (interaction models, heuristics, patterns, usability, etc.)
• Deep understanding of visual design principles and process (typography, iconography, composition, color, layout, etc.)
• Demonstrable ability to work confidently with Program Management, Engineering and User Research
• Excellent written and verbal communication, presentation, and organizational skills
• Expertise with Sketch, Figma, Photoshop, and related tools
• Experience with prototyping tools (Invision, Flinto, Framer, Processing, Unity, etc.)

Skills

• Create and manage design in-depth for a complete feature area.
• Help solve complex design problems in simple and intuitive ways, that blending together brand personality, visual, motion and sound to create delightful experiences.
• Create and assess design solutions based on user research data and user goals.
• Produce design visualizations to help everyone understand what the best experience should be: storyboards, flows, wireframes, prototypes, and vision pieces.
• Work closely and constructively with product management, visual and interaction designers, editors, engineers and user researchers to iterate and deliver flawlessly.
• Interface with design teams across Microsoft to bring unity among our features.
• Advocate for your design solutions by putting them in context of business and user goals.
• Be self-directed and able to self-manage.
• Have solid IA and visual design skills.
