Job Description

As the UX owner of a game, you will be expected to play a versatile role: structured problem-solving and developing creative solutions You will work closely with engineering to build tools within Unity (game engine we use) to create a scalable UI that can grow with the life of the game and to allow iteration as data comes in. You will create wireframes, prototypes, quick sketches and whatever else is needed to help break down a problem and convey an idea in the clearest possible way to our players. Be obsessed with quality: every micro-interaction needs to be right and edge cases do matter. Be at the centre of all the action: work closely with product managers, game designers, artists, and engineers. Manage high expectations, differing opinions, difficult constraints and hard timelines! Build a UX culture that emphasises data and user research more than opinions; systems thinking and Indian cultural references more than global trends

Skills

• UX design experience creating consumer products/games including at least 1 year focused on mobile apps. Multiple success stories of data-driven and iterative product development
• You have been responsible for key features especially building them from scratch, driving design across the product lifecycle, hands-on collaboration with engineering and QA, identifying opportunities, influencing the roadmap.
• Strong problem-solving skills: shepherding ideas from the concept stage, understanding problems deeply through user research and analytics, synthesizing and exploring diverse approaches and understanding trade-offs (all this before even opening Sketch to starting “designing”!)
• Excellent grasp of fundamentals: usability, graphic design, motion/animation, consumer behaviour patterns from psychology and behavioural economics
• A deep sense of ownership and collaboration – take initiative, work hard, learn and unlearn, communicate clearly, be nice and have fun!
• Degree or extensive work experience in art, illustration or graphic design
• You have passion for playing all kinds of games - PC, Console, Board or Mobile!
