    Job Description

    ~ Own design projects end to end, and work closely with our engineers, Product managers, marketing and Customer success managers.~ Own the defining and documentation of Solid design systems, patterns, guidelines and style guides.~ Be the UX lead of the team in adopting best practices and processes in delivering thoughtful high quality experiences for users.~Be the Gate-keeper of Usage tracking Insights and help with appropriate guides to help users navigate the product and successfully use all its features.~Understand the problem well,compile research and create user flows, high fidelity mockups and UI.

    Skills

    ~ 4+ years of UX experience and shipping high quality products. B2B experience a plus.
    ~ Mastery in at least one discipline within UX, be it Interaction design, systems, information architecture and/or usability.
    ~ Comfortable with ambiguity, and ability to work well with engineers. Understanding of basic HTML / CSS and front end web / mobile frameworks.
    ~ Solid design background with an obsessive eye for visual detail and experience in data visualisation, infographics
    ~ Experience designing web and mobile apps
    ~ Ability to think at a high level and articulate rationale for adopted approach.
    ~ Self motivated and able to efficiently deliver without close supervision
    ~ Excellent communication skills

    Job Description

    Lead a small and fast-paced team UX team at Jifflenow to enhance and extend our existing platform and create a new products. As the UX Manager, you will be responsible for the entire design lifecycle and will develop and enforce a set of design principles to keep our keep our products consistent and extraordinarily easy to use. You will also manage the Jifflenow UX team. Responsibilities• Lead Jifflenow’s user experience design -- including the overall information architecture, detailed interaction design, visual design, and data visualization – across web and mobile interfaces.• Manage, mentor and develop a team of 3-4 interaction designers and visual designers on a daily basis.
 Recruit and hire additional designers if necessary over time.• Create and maintain a style guide to ensure a consistent user experience across all Jifflenow products. Be the champion of this style guide across the organization.• Work collaboratively with Product Managers to fully understand user stories, create wireframes, develop low fidelity and high fidelity prototypes of the UX as part of a user-centered design process, listen to feedback, and iterate as need be to arrive at easy-to-use solutions which will “wow” our customers.• Ensure UX team works seamlessly with SCRUM teams in 2-week sprints by delivering graphic elements, and modifying UX as necessary for feasibility or speed of implementation.• Research the latest UX/UI concepts, trends and best practices, and incorporate into our practices and design patterns.• Leverage Customer Success team (as proxies for customer) to get early feedback on mock-ups. Work collaboratively with Customer Success team to get regular feedback directly from customers.• Perform usability studies, either on low fidelity mock-ups, high fidelity mock-ups, or actual products in production.

    Skills

    • Bachelor’s and/or Master’s degree in human-computer interaction (HCI)
    • 6-8+ years of experience as a UX designer across web-based B2B and B2C products, and at least 2-3 years experience managing other designers
    • A portfolio demonstrating experience with solving complex applications/work-flows with simple and elegant UX
    • Strong sense of design and aesthetics that delivers a self-evident experience for users.
    • Deep knowledge of interaction design and data visualization best practices for both web and mobile (both iOS and Android).
    • Must have a highly practical approach to UX – is always asking the question, “Does this user experience allow the user to accomplish their task as quickly and easily as possible?”
    • Experience working collaboratively in a fast-moving startup environment
    • Experience with prototyping tools – both web-based (responsive) and mobile (iOS and Android)
    • Working knowledge of JavaScript and performance considerations that influence UI design
    • Extremely strong interpersonal and communication skills – ability to convince, persuade, and reach agreement with others without being disagreeable
