Job Description

• Create full Sketch designs for the initial websites and web applications. • Works independently and without close supervision, but checks in regularly with the team. • Proven, trusted team member and good team player. • Consistently produces high-quality work. Proven punctuality, team maturity, collaboration. • Adapts well with ambiguity and can provide multiple solutions to solve the problem. • Create functional add on feature designs for the existing platforms as needed. • Execute any picture manipulation or design related tasks that may come up.

Skills

• Fluent in Sketch and Photoshop.

• Portfolio showing proven experience in telling stories, wireframes, outstanding creativity, and solid visual design.

• 2+ years at an interaction design position.

• Strong understanding of visual design principles in terms of typography, grid system, composition, color theory.

• Able to prototype UX concepts with wireframes and animation.

• Experience in web app design. Mobile app design and InVision experience are a plus.

• Good verbal communication skills and a hard worker.

• Passionate about the UX industry & trends and an advocate for good UX.

• Build reusable, testable, and scalable frontend code • Construct client side components using React and other JavaScript frameworks in an organized and efficient manner • Work with backend developers to connect the client-side elements with the server • Collaborate with the designer to implement the features for the UI/UX and help make improvements when necessary • Research, evaluate, and analyze technical and design requirements • Participate in flow charting development, testing, support, documentation, and debugging • Be nimble, entrepreneurial in order to be quick and efficient while working with a team

Skills

• Strong proficiency with React and how to build reusable components and libraries

• Deep knowledge of how to use predictable state containers in Redux to allow for scalable development

• Experience with writing components that interact with schema-less NoSQL document database services

• Understands how to develop new user facing features and ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs

• Able to work with a designer to iterate various Sketch files when necessary to improve the user experience

• Good knowledge of bootstrap, sass, html, css, ES6, and other necessary JavaScript frameworks

• Master at git and able to write effective javascript tests (Jest, Cypress, etc.)
