    Job Description

    · Design and Deliver compelling, elegant, pleasurable and sophisticated end-to-end user experience solutions for multiple products and platforms, from assessing and defining customer needs to delivering concepts, to prioritizing features, to presenting and evaluating prototypes, to validating user experience feedback.· Participate in developing the user research and user experience plans for each project, including customer visits, contextual inquiry, interviews and observation, focus groups or surveys as needed.· Work closely and efficiently with a cross-functional and interdisciplinary team that includes other Designers, Developers, Project and Product Management, Business Analysts, Quality Assurance, and Business Partners among other team members.· Develop expert-level knowledge of competitive and complementary products for the purpose of bringing new design ideas to each project.· Recognize and communicate user experience risks as they arise and make design recommendations that take into account tradeoffs, scope creep, iterative design, phased releases.· Quickly and iteratively create artifacts that illuminate user tasks, define proposed product functionality, turn business requirements into conceptualizations of the proposed product, and effectively communicate the overall user experience to the project team and our business partners. These artifacts may include:· Competitive product analyses, Personas, Task/process flows, screen flows, storyboards, usage scenarios, detailed descriptions of proposed interactions/behaviors, usage models· Information architectures, site maps, navigation maps, page flows, sketches, conceptual design mockups, wireframes, prototypes, interaction design idioms and other user experience design deliverables as needed.· Gather and Track feedback and key design decisions generated from the continuous review of these artifacts to iteratively improve the user experience with interactive products.· Maintain knowledge of current and emerging design principles and best practices in user interface design, interaction design, information architecture, usability theory, and evaluation techniques.· Plan and conduct usability evaluations using semi- to fully-functional prototypes or existing applications.· Defend your design decisions with well-structured arguments, design rationale that reflects current and emerging standards

    Skills

    · 4+ years of experience working as a User Experience Designer, Interaction Designer, Information Architect (or closely related field) in the design of websites, web applications, desktop, and/or mobile applications.
    · Practical knowledge of user research methods, including lab-based usability studies, field studies, and usability inspections (heuristic evaluations or cognitive walkthroughs)
    · Understanding of UX principles and best practices, and the latest trends in design and user experience.
    · Understanding of user-centered design methods and usability principles, technical implications of design.
    · Communication, presentation, interpersonal and analytical skills, including the ability to communicate complex, interactive design concepts clearly and persuasively across different audiences and varying levels of the organization.

    Job Description

    This individual will design creative solutions that promote user adoption, self-service, and ease of use to support the business needs. The UX designer will work collaboratively with other teams taking a project from inception, through analysis, prototyping, visual design, finally to implementation whilst ensuring the customers’ experience and needs remain the focus. The User Experience Designer will follow a user-centered design process, understanding real users – their goals, aptitudes, experiences, needs, and motivations. In this role you will approach design from a user-perspective and balance users' needs alongside business goals and technical capabilities. You will be working closely with product managers, software developers and web designers to determine necessary features and drive the design of products. Role & Responsibilities Design and Deliver compelling, elegant, pleasurable and sophisticated end-to-end user experience solutions for multiple products and platforms, from assessing and defining customer needs to delivering concepts, to prioritizing features, to presenting and evaluating prototypes, to validating user experience feedback. Participate in developing the user research and user experience plans for each project, including customer visits, contextual inquiry, interviews and observation, focus groups or surveys as needed. Work closely and efficiently with a cross-functional and interdisciplinary team that includes other Designers, Developers, Project and Product Management, Business Analysts, Quality Assurance, and Business Partners among other team members. Develop expert-level knowledge of competitive and complementary products for the purpose of bringing new design ideas to each project. Recognize and communicate user experience risks as they arise and make design recommendations that take into account tradeoffs, scope creep, iterative design, phased releases. Quickly and iteratively create artifacts that illuminate user tasks, define proposed product functionality, turn business requirements into conceptualizations of the proposed product, and effectively communicate the overall user experience to the project team and our business partners. These artifacts may include: Competitive product analyses, Personas, Task/process flows, screen flows, storyboards, usage scenarios, detailed descriptions of proposed interactions/behaviors, usage models Information architectures, site maps, navigation maps, page flows, sketches, conceptual design mockups, wireframes, prototypes, interaction design idioms and other user experience design deliverables as needed. Gather and Track feedback and key design decisions generated from continuous review of these artifacts to iteratively improve the user experience with interactive products. Maintain knowledge of current and emerging design principles and best practices in user interface design, interaction design, information architecture, usability theory, and evaluation techniques. Plan and conduct usability evaluations using semi- to fully-functional prototypes or existing applications. Defend your design decisions with well-structured arguments, design rationale that reflects current and emerging standards

    Basic Qualifications

    • 4+ years of experience working as a User Experience Designer, Interaction Designer, Information Architect (or closely related field) in the design of websites, web applications, desktop, and/or mobile applications.
    • Practical knowledge of user research methods, including lab-based usability studies, field studies, and usability inspections (heuristic evaluations or cognitive walkthroughs)
    • Understanding of UX principles and best practices, and the latest trends in design and user experience.
    • Understanding of user-centered design methods and usability principles, technical implications of design.
    • Communication, presentation, interpersonal and analytical skills, including the ability to communicate complex, interactive design concepts clearly and persuasively across different audiences and varying levels of the organization.
